In November, Bryan Vanacker, Key Account Manager at ICTS, visited Tirsan in Sakarya, Turkiye, to explore the production of double-decker trailers. The visit offered an insider perspective on trailer assembly, maintenance processes, and collaboration between the companies.
"Last week, I went to Tirsan in Sakarya, Turkiye, to see how the double-decker trailers for bpost are built and to get a better understanding of the whole process. On the first day, I got a tour of the factory. Day two was all about the chassis, then I spent a couple of days learning about brakes, suspension, and the WABCO systems. On day four, I followed the hydraulics, the tail lift and movable floor, and on the last day we wrapped up with a meeting to discuss workflows and how to make the partnership smoother.
It was really useful to see everything in action and to follow the engineers while they explained the steps. I returned home with a much clearer picture of the trailers and how the teams work together to keep them running smoothly."
