20 MEGA Huckepack trailers, an established transport route between Italy and the UK and a partnership that keeps moving forward. D'Agostino has extended its rental agreement with ICTS.
The Italian transport company specialises in international and intermodal transport, connecting European destinations through a combination of road, rail and sea transport.
Last year, D'Agostino expanded its existing cooperation with ICTS by renting 20 MEGA Huckepack curtain-sided trailers. All units were equipped with fixed straps and GPS tracking, in line with the company's operational requirements.
The trailers are mainly used on routes between Italy and the UK, where much of the journey takes place by rail and ferry.
Their Huckepack configuration makes them suitable for combined road and rail transport. Trailers designed for this type of operation can be lifted onto suitable railway wagons, allowing goods to travel by rail without unloading the cargo from the trailer.
But the relationship between both companies started well before the rental agreement. For many years, D'Agostino has relied on ICTS for trailer maintenance and repairs at the port of Zeebrugge.
What began as a workshop relationship has grown into a broader cooperation. With the rental agreement now extended for another four years, the 20 MEGA trailers will continue to support D'Agostino's international transport operations.
