At the ICTS facility in Ghent, Belgium, the workshop environment has recently been upgraded with the installation of a high-efficiency heat pump system. This new installation provides both heating during winter and cooling during warmer months, improving comfort across the entire workspace.
The air-to-water system can produce hot water up to 62°C, allowing warm air blowers to maintain stable temperatures across the large workshop area. Stratification technology ensures that the heat remains where it is most needed: close to the working level on the shop floor.
The inverter technology allows the system to continuously adapt its output to the required temperature, reducing energy consumption compared to traditional heating installations.
Internal Affairs Manager Jürgen Bogaert emphasises the broader impact of the investment: “This installation helps create a more sustainable and comfortable workplace while also reducing the environmental footprint of the facility.”
The project forms part of a wider effort to improve energy efficiency and operational sustainability across all ICTS locations.
