Summer may be a quieter period for some, but not for the ICTS Academy. Several training sessions took place across the ICTS workshops, helping employees strengthen their skills, work more safely and continue improving the service offered to customers.
Mechanics in Antwerp and Zeebrugge followed a Terberg training this summer.
The training gives the mechanics the required knowledge to operate Terberg vehicles safely and correctly within port areas. This means they can move trailers around the terminals and workshop areas in a certified and safe way.

At ICTS in Ghent, the focus was on ergonomics and working comfort for the mechanics.
Four mobile lifting columns were repaired and re-installed in the workshop. Positioned together, they can be used as a lifting system for trailers, giving mechanics easier and more comfortable access when working underneath them.
The wheel lift was also repaired and brought back into use. It helps mechanics lift and lower heavy tyres during removal and installation, reducing manual handling and strain on the back.
After the equipment was installed, the Ghent team received practical training on how to use the lifting systems correctly and safely.
