Some people don’t just work at ICTS, they grow with it. Over the years, they’ve seen the company evolve from a local workshop to a European trailer powerhouse. They’ve faced challenges, learned new skills, and helped shape the way ICTS works today.
In this special edition, ICTS employees take centre stage. Their stories are about curiosity, hard work, and the moments that made them proud to be part of ICTS.
Didier De Greef | Driven by technique
“After finishing my degree in mechanics, I started at ICTS as a trailer mechanic because I wanted to repair things myself and keep learning. Over the years, I specialized in ABS and EBS systems and became an official inspection certifier – a big technical milestone for me. Today, I’m responsible for spare parts, but what I’m most proud of is the technical knowledge I’ve built up and the fact that I can use it to support our mechanics every day.”
Stef Petrusson | From intern to Workshop Manager
“I joined ICTS as an intern during my Automotive Technology studies, but I quickly realised I wanted to be hands-on in the workshop. I started as assistant to the Workshop Manager, gradually took responsibility for clients and quality, and was later given the opportunity to lead the third-party workshop in Zeebrugge, Belgium. It wasn’t easy at first, but with training and support from colleagues, I’ve grown into the role and have been leading the team for five years.
Koen Van Wijnsberghe | Growing with ICTS
“I started at ICTS in 2000 as a mechanic in Zeebrugge, when the company was still small. Over the years, I helped start new operations, open workshops and launch new branches. I’ve seen ICTS grow from 30 people into an international Group, and being part of that journey, helping to build it step by step, has been the biggest reward for me.”
Adrian Zielinski | From mechanic to workshop support
“I started at ICTS in 2011 through a colleague who was already working here. I began as a mechanic and, after seven years, moved to the APK station as an MOT inspector. Three years later, I took the next step into the office as assistant workshop hall manager, where I still work today. Moving from technical work to inspection and then into the office wasn’t always easy, but each step pushed me to learn something new. Looking back, I’m proud of how my role has evolved over the years within ICTS.”
Alexa Teglas | Growing step by step
“My journey at ICTS started in 2014 as a mechanic in Hall 2. After a few years, I became a driver, shunting trailers between locations. Later, I gradually moved into the office, where I learned to coordinate the hall and work closely with the team. Taking on more responsibility step by step helped me grow both professionally and personally. ICTS has always looked at what people are capable of and gives them the opportunity to develop further. Today, I’m still leading Hall 2, proud of the progress I’ve made and the trust I’ve been given.”
Expansion into the Netherlands
“ICTS BV in the Netherlands was established through the acquisition of TRE in Vuren and TFL in Bergschenhoek. Both companies were merged and relocated to the Vareseweg in Rotterdam. From this new location, ICTS BV no longer rented only refrigerated trailers (TRE) and chassis (TFL), but also expanded its fleet with curtain-sided trailers and box trailers.”
