Van Eck, based in Beesd, the Netherlands, has delivered the new box trailers to bpost in Belgium.
As ICTS maintains these 'latest technology' box trailers, Mr. Yakup Aktam, COO at Van Eck, visited ICTS’s Main Workshop in Ghent, Belgium, on Thursday, June 20th. Mr. Jan Petrusson, Workshop Manager, showed Yakup the 18 repair bays, the 2 Technical Control (trailers on Belgian plates) bays, and the renewed parking areas for a total of more than 200 trailers. The total area in Ghent is 25,000 m².
The ICTS Academy is instrumental in continuously improving the competences of ICTS’ technicians. The latest technologies applied to the new bpost boxes are being introduced to the workshop and field technicians. Continuous training on cooling, hydraulics, tail lifts, pneumatics, automation, electronics, batteries, electronic locks, electrical axles, GPS systems, etc. is on the agenda.
As ICTS is responsible for keeping the new bpost boxes moving at all times, spare parts have to be available day and night. On this occasion, Van Eck and ICTS signed a formal cooperation agreement regarding maintenance, support, repair, and breakdown services on Van Eck trailers in Belgium.
