Mr Benjamin Schmich visited ICTS in Zeebrugge, Belgium, on 25 November 2025. Benjamin, who has been working at Wielton since January 2025, is tasked with developing the Key Account Management for the Wielton Group in Europe.
Wielton is investing in new technologies. In Poland, for instance, a new factory for composite side walls for box trailers was launched this year. Another good example is the online purchase option for the Wielton EVO, a basic lightweight curtainsider trailer, currently launched only in Poland: https://evo.wielton.com/en.
The company is also working on a ‘one-stop-shop’ service concept. The after-sales structure for the entire Group (Wielton, Fruehauf, Langendorf, Lawrence David, Guillén, Viberti) is being consolidated within the own company Aberg.
Following a tour of the workshops and the inspection hall (Dutch and Belgian plates) led by Peter Cox, who is responsible for Technology and Engineering at ICTS, Niels Dewaele, who heads the rental operations in Zeebrugge, delivered a presentation about ICTS.
Subsequently, a potential collaboration with ICTS was discussed in the areas of warranty processing for Wielton trailers, after-sales support, breakdown assistance, and revamping (emission reduction and decarbonization).
