August started with an intensive onboarding week for three new colleagues: Nick Jansen, Account Manager North Netherlands at ICTS; Sebastien Debruyne, Parts Analyst at ICTS; and Joao Rosa, Head Finance at TTP.
A week inside ICTS
During the week, the group visited the ICTS branches in Belgium and the Netherlands to get a complete view of the company and its daily activities. Presentations covered different areas of the business, from finance and marketing to rental, service and operations.
The new colleagues also spent time inside the workshops, visited the MOT halls and followed the Technical Control process from close by. This gave them a practical view of what happens behind the scenes every day.
From onboarding to customer operations
An important part of the week was a customer visit to Transuniverse Forwarding in the Port of Ghent.
Transuniverse is an international freight forwarder and a strong player in European road transport, with a leading position on routes to Portugal, Türkiye, Greece and Spain. Its site in Ghent includes 37,250 m² of warehouse space, 70 dock shelters and connections with 30 European distribution platforms.
Behind the scenes at Transuniverse
The group was welcomed by CEO Mr. Frank Adins, who gave an extensive introduction to Transuniverse, its activities and its position in the European logistics market.
Afterwards, Mr. Christophe Malfait, Warehouse Manager, guided the team through the facilities. The visit showed the complete warehouse operation in action: loading and unloading, labelling, storage and the handling of ADR and dangerous goods.
And, of course, several ICTS trailers could be spotted across the site.
The visit gave the new colleagues a clear view of the daily operations of an ICTS customer. Understanding how customers work in practice is an important part of understanding how ICTS can support them even better.
