bpost maintenance contract

Belgian postal company, bpost, is set to significantly bolster its delivery fleet with the introduction of 14 state-of-the-art double-decker trailers this year.

Designed to transform the transportation of letters and packages nationwide, these trailers will streamline operations between bpost’s five major sorting centers and its extensive network of distribution hubs.

Bpost is stepping up its game with a fleet of six double-deckers boasting fixed floors, alongside another eight equipped moveable floors. The latter trailers come with an extraordinary feature that lets their floors be adjusted, aligning perfectly with loading docks.

The mastermind behind these trailers? None other than Dutch-based VanEck. Ensuring these trailers stay in top-notch shape falls into the capable hands of ICTS, entrusted with their maintenance. “Three times a year, we conduct on-site inspections; only for inspection does the unit visit our workshop,” states Christopher Mascaux, Fleet Manager at ICTS.

With the seamless integration of VanEck trailers, bpost has successfully condensed the cargo load that previously demanded 3 trips into a consolidated 2-trip journey. This operational enhancement not only boosts efficiency but also plays a pivotal role in significantly reducing CO2 emissions.
